Eligibility Requirements


The following are the general requirements for eligibility. This section will allow you to make an early determination of your general eligibility.

1. The applicant organization is a
 
Applicant will: (for 2-12 please indicate Yes or No)
 
2. Demonstrate record of providing effective services for at least one year.
  If no, demonstrate that 25-50% of agency’s financial support is from non-federal sources.
 
3. Provide match contributions of cash or in-kind in the amount described below:
  Public agency or non-profit organization 20%
  Native American Tribe 5%
 
4. Utilize volunteers.
 
5. Assist crime victims in applying for Crime Victims Compensation.
 
6. Promote community efforts to aid crime victims.
 
7. Comply with federal and state rules regulating grants.
 
8. Maintain statutorily required data on victims served.
 
9. Provide services to federal crime victims.
 
10. Provide services to crime victims at no-charge.
 
11. Maintain client confidentiality as required by state and federal law.
 
12. Not discriminate against victims because they disagree with the way the state is prosecuting a criminal case.
